I normally like this author however sometimes her books feel rushed. This was one of the rushed ones. The characters were not flushed out and an important aspect of the story was barley touched upon.
Spoiler:
What about the daughter? You find out you have a child you never knew about but you spend all your time and emotions on a possible love interest/ mate.
This is a quick read but I found this so frustrating that I had to stop reading and then force myself to finish it.

Mate Dance Dragon Men Book 3 edition by Amber Kell Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Like I said I Loved it the first time the second time was just as great. Can't wait to read the next one..
I enjoyed it immensely - i had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading. A little manipulative using his daughter to keep his mate - but alls well that ends well )
I have read other works by this author and enjoyed them a great deal. This was just awful! I couldn't force myself to finish this story, it just seemed very juvenile--poorly written.
Please try other "books" by this author like "William's House"--now THAT was good.
The story line was good, considering, this was the a rewrite. The only thing that bug was that they had the main character from the fourth story in this one. I am all for updates from the main characters lives, but I think it is a spoiler when they appear before their story was supposed to be told.
This short romance was quite pleasant to read and has at least gotten me hooked from the get go.
However, the characterization wasn't developed enough and oftentimes, the characters' behaviors were inconsistent, completely in contradiction with their thoughts. They sometimes pull a 180 and it just doesn't seem right. Prince Kaemon, especially, is too one-dimensional, I wish he was more than just a prince completely smitten by his mate, to the point that he doesn't even seem to care about his daughter. As is often the case with mate-bonding stories, one of the two is too engrossed in the other and it feels like all the character's life is reduced to just that living for their mate and not even really bothering to get to know the other beforehand. Raven as a character is more fleshed out, but still, his little outbursts of anger were too extreme in my opinion and resolved too quickly. All the flaws of this short fiction all come down to the fast pace of the storytelling.
The writing style is pleasant to read nonetheless and the universe is quite interesting. If the author had taken the time to write a full novel out of this, taken the time to develop the characters's personality and background a little more, spanned out their interactions, I would've paid at least four times the price to read it. I won't complain though for the price I've paid, this was overall a decent, quick read.
I'm giving this 3 stars because of all the aforementioned flaws I could point out.
I've only just started reading books by this author and really enjoyed the first two books in the Dragon Men series. However this latest book was disappointing. It just did not "gel" with the other books. Apart from being set on the "Dragon" planet there was not really any links between the other 2 books. There also seems to be an awful lot of kings and available princes on the planet as well (just a coincidence or what??) The only character that was more than one dimensional was Raven, the dancer. Because I like this series I will take a chance and get the next book in the series hoping that it will be much better.
I have been hooked on Amber Kell's books for months now and this series is not any different. Raven is such a caring person who really loves Prince Kaemon and his daughter. I like how he is not self absorbed and tries to understand how he could hurt his mate by trying to understand everything about dragon shifter mating. Kaemon just wants his mate and is in love with the dancer. I can't wait for more from this series (I want to read about the feral dragon king).
